Introduction
UMW SM712 is an asymmetric transient voltage suppressor array specifically designed for RS-485 applications. The device provides protection against ESD, Lightning Surge Level 3, and switching transients.

- IEC 61000-4-5 (Surge) compliant: 24A, 8/20μs - Level 2 (line-to-ground) and Level 3 (line-to-line)
- 600W peak pulse power per line (tp = 8/20μs)
- IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD) compliant: 15kV air discharge, 8kV contact discharge
- IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT) compliant: 40A, 5/50ns
