Introduction

The SMxx series is designed for applications requiring transient overvoltage protection. They are suitable for devices sensitive to voltage and electrostatic discharge (ESD), such as computers, printers, commercial machines, communication systems, medical equipment, and other applications. These devices are ideal for situations where board space is limited. This series is specifically designed to protect sensitive components connected to power, data, and transmission lines from overvoltage caused by ESD, cable discharge events (CDE), and electrical fast transients (EFT).
