Introduction

The Pxxx0S3N series DO-214AB protection thyristors are components designed to protect equipment in harsh environments from overvoltage transient interference. This series is used to protect exposed interfaces in industrial and ICT applications, such as RS-485 data interfaces, AC or DC power supplies. The switching voltage of these components is significantly lower than that of alternative gas discharge tubes, and their on-state voltage is also significantly lower than that of alternative gas discharge tubes, metal oxide varistors, and TVS diodes. The Pxxx0S3N series is rated for a surge current of 3000A (8/20 μs waveform), enabling equipment to meet regulatory and customer surge requirements.
