Littelfuse's LSP05G thermally protected surge protective device is specifically designed for outdoor, commercial, and industrial LED luminaires. It incorporates Littelfuse's thermally protected varistor technology as a self-protecting device, helping to prevent end-of-life issues associated with varistors and problems related to sustained overvoltage conditions. It also provides high line-to-ground resistance for faster in-line production testing. The LSP05G series connection options provide clear indication of thermal fault protection by disconnecting power to the luminaire, signaling the need for SPD module replacement. The LSP05G SPD helps customers' products comply with IEEE C62.41.2 Location Category C Low, ANSI C136.2, and the U.S. Department of Energy MSSLC Model Specification.
