Introduction

Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) protect equipment from transient overvoltage events lasting continuous microseconds. By limiting overvoltage across equipment during these events, costly damage and downtime can be reduced. SPDs for solar string box and inverter applications are available in 1100 V and 1500 V DC ratings, in a 3+0 configuration.
