Introduction

The Littelfuse LSP05 Thermally Protected Surge Protective Device is a self-protected device designed for transient overvoltage protection in outdoor and commercial LED luminaires. It is built using Littelfuse thermally protected varistor technology. Its integrated thermal disconnect function provides an additional layer of protection against catastrophic failure and fire hazards, even under extreme conditions such as end-of-life varistor degradation or sustained overvoltage. The LSP05 helps customers' products comply with the IEEE C62.41.2 Location Category C Low standard and the U.S. Department of Energy MSSLC Model Specification.
