Introduction

The nVent ERICO SES160B series surge protective device (SPD) provides cost-effective protection against destructive transients and surge currents. The SPD is cUL listed to 1449 and suitable for Type 1 or Type 2 locations. It allows installation on the line or load side of a distribution panel without requiring a circuit breaker. With a per-phase surge rating of 160 kA, the SES160B is ideal for Category C locations. Applications include service entrances, power distribution, branch panels, motor control centers, lighting panels, HVAC, and more. The product series features a NEMA 4X rating, making it suitable for outdoor applications as well.
