Introduction

Surge Protective Devices (SPDs) protect equipment from transient overvoltage events lasting continuous microseconds. By clamping the overvoltage across equipment during these events, costly damage and downtime are reduced. SPDs for solar string combiner box and inverter applications are available in 1100 V and 1500 V DC ratings in a 3+0 configuration.
