The Littelfuse LSP10 thermally protected surge protective device is a self-protected device designed for transient overvoltage protection in outdoor and commercial LED luminaires. It is built using Littelfuse thermally protected varistor technology. Its integrated thermal disconnect function provides additional protection against catastrophic failure and fire hazard, even under extreme conditions such as end-of-life varistor degradation or sustained overvoltage. The LSP10 series connection options clearly indicate thermal fault protection by cutting power to the luminaire, signaling the need for SPD module replacement. The LSP10 SPD helps customers' products comply with IEEE C62.41.2 Location Category C High exposure level and the U.S. Department of Energy MSSLC Model Specification.
