Introduction

The Littelfuse LSP05 thermally protected surge protective device is a self-protected device designed for transient overvoltage protection in outdoor and commercial LED lighting fixtures. It is built using Littelfuse thermally protected varistor technology. Its integrated thermal disconnect function provides additional protection against catastrophic failure and fire hazards, even under extreme conditions such as end-of-life varistor or sustained overvoltage. The LSP05 surge protective device helps customers' products comply with the IEEE C62.41.2 Location Category C Low standard and the U.S. Department of Energy MSSLC Model Specification.
