Applications

PH9384/PM2185 is a push-pull transformer series designed to deliver up to 3W of power across a high-voltage insulation barrier. Compatible with various push-pull drivers such as the TI SN650x series, it forms part of a low-cost solution for providing isolated power from a low-voltage source. In a fixed 50% duty cycle operating mode, the output voltage is determined solely by the input voltage and turns ratio. Therefore, a wide range of output voltages can be selected through the available turns ratios.

PH9384.034NL is UL certified to UL60950-1 2nd Edition for reinforced insulation at working voltages up to 300Vac. The remaining products in the PH9384.XXXNL series are not included in the UL certification but fully comply with reinforced insulation requirements. Based on VDE certification of FIW wire under IEC60317-0-7, IEC60317-36, and IEC60851-5:2008, IEC62368-1 recognizes that the current construction of the PH9384/PM2185 series meets reinforced insulation requirements for working voltages up to 300Vac/420V peak.
