Introduction

TL8012-S is a versatile safety interlock switch with guard door locking capability. Its head rotates 180°, providing 4 possible actuator entry points. A distance of 3.0mm or less between the switch face and actuator face is required for locking. The actuator alignment guide is easily replaceable if damaged, providing an ideal mailbox-style function for mounting the switch behind a fixed panel.

Applications

Typical applications include sliding and swing guard doors that must remain locked until a signal is applied to the internal solenoid to release the guard. Can also be used with the SR223SMT timer unit for machines with constant overrun, providing a timed delay of the lock/release signal, fail-safe and adjustable from 1.0 to 31 seconds; or with the SR125SMS stop motion sensing unit for machines with non-constant or variable overrun, sensing the back-EMF of AC or DC motors, fail-safe and adjustable from 0.01V to 0.10V.
