Introduction

The GKN Series key-operated safety interlock limit switches are designed for applications requiring machine guarding. Each switch provides up to 3 NC contacts to meet most control circuit applications. All NC contacts are positive opening. When the actuator key is withdrawn from the switch, a direct mechanical linkage inside the switch forces the NC contacts to open. When the actuator key is reinserted into the switch, the contact state changes. The double-insulated plastic housing and stainless steel actuator key are designed for harsh environments, with an environmentally sealed internal switch enclosure. The switch design allows 4 actuator key entry positions for ease of installation. Each switch incorporates three conduit entries for convenient electrical connection.
