Introduction

The compact size allows the switch to be used on small machines with a mounting width of 40 mm (1.57 inches), covering a rope span of up to 40 m (131 feet). The tension indicator makes system setup and rope tension maintenance easy. Contact configuration is 2NC + 1NO or 3NC. The IP67 (NEMA 6) rated enclosure enables the ER5018 switch to withstand washdown cleaning. Heavy-duty construction — die-cast housing and stainless steel eye nuts make the ER5018 suitable for demanding industrial applications. Integrated emergency stop function — an optional emergency stop button provides emergency stop capability at the far end of the installation. Reset button — the blue reset button must be pressed to return to the "machine running" state after the switch has been actuated by rope pull or slack. Vibration-resistant — snap-action switch contacts prevent false triggering due to vibration. The rubber bellows contains UV inhibitors, making the switch suitable for outdoor applications. Long service life — the ER5018 switch is designed for a minimum of one million operations.
