Introduction

This is a 200KHz high-frequency ultrasonic ranging sensor with an IP65 protection rating. The sensor features an RS485 interface compliant with the standard Modbus-RTU communication protocol, ensuring reliable communication. The slave address and serial port parameters can be modified according to actual application requirements, making it easy to integrate with various industrial control equipment. In addition, the sensor offers flexible temperature compensation — users can choose between the built-in temperature compensation or external temperature compensation based on their needs, making it suitable for a wide range of complex application scenarios. The URM14 employs a high-frequency stable ultrasonic transducer, with an effective measurement range of 100mm ~ 1500mm for flat reflective surfaces, an accuracy of 1mm, and an error of ±1%. Compared to general ultrasonic ranging sensors operating at 40KHz, this sensor delivers higher measurement accuracy and a shorter measurement cycle, making it ideal for high-precision, fast-response ranging applications. Furthermore, the sensor features a built-in noise level assessment function that enables adaptive ranging in complex environments. Users can also access the noise level data to optimize the sensor's operating conditions and achieve the highest-precision measurements.
