Introduction

This ultrasonic distance sensor operates on 3V or 5V power, is HC-SR04 compatible, and is model RCWL-1601. It is commonly used in robotics projects and can also be applied to automation, interactive art, and motion sensing. The operating range is approximately 2cm to 450cm, with optimal performance from 10cm to 250cm. The sensor is fast, easy to use, and cost-effective — powered by either 3V or 5V with the same logic level, making it compatible with a wide variety of microcontrollers or single-board computers, and fully HC-SR04 compatible. It can also be used with Arduino, CircuitPython (for microcontrollers or Raspberry Pi), or MakeCode.
