Introduction

MB8450, MB8460, and MB8480 CarSonar-WR are high-performance, low-cost ultrasonic proximity sensors designed to detect vehicle sides in drive-through lanes. These sensors feature a synchronous multi-sensor design, enabling reliable operation even in the presence of other ultrasonic sensors. The MB8450 uses a USB Micro-B connector for easy connectivity, while the MB8460 and MB8480 use simple pin connections. Users can integrate multiple sensors into a single system with minimal inter-sensor interference that may arise with other ultrasonic solutions. The CarSonar-WR provides true/false output with optional range output. Deploying an ultrasonic sensor network via the MB8450 interface is simple and straightforward. USB factory calibration and testing are standard.
