Introduction

The XL-MaxSonar-EZ series features high-power output and real-time automatic sensitivity adjustment to adapt to changing conditions (such as temperature, voltage, and acoustic or electrical noise), ensuring the most reliable (in-air) data for every ranging measurement. Operating on a supply voltage range of 3.3V ~ 5.5V, these sensors offer ultra-low power consumption in a compact form factor, enabling detection and ranging from very short to long distances. The MB1200 and MB1300 series sensors can detect objects within 0 cm to 765 cm (25.1 ft) or 1068 cm (35 ft) (select models), and provide sonar ranging data from 20 cm to 765 cm or 1068 cm (select models) with 1 cm resolution. Objects within 0 cm to 20 cm typically report a range of 20 cm. Supported interface output formats include pulse width output (MB1200 series), real-time analog voltage envelope (MB1300 series), analog voltage output, and serial digital output.
