Introduction

WIL-RM-S-SG-R1 is an optimized sensor with integrated strain gauges, designed specifically for wind turbines. Mounted on the inner side of rotor blades near the blade root, it works in conjunction with WIL-BI switchgear and controlgear components to measure and evaluate loads on rotor blades, enabling load-optimized control of wind turbines and minimizing loads on rotor blades. This sensor is part of the intelligent rotor blade monitoring system for wind turbine blades, which records and analyzes typical measurement values on wind turbine rotors — including lightning current, temperature, ice thickness, and bending moments — and consists of corresponding sensors, pre-assembled connecting cables, and WIL-BI switchgear and controlgear components (as the evaluation unit).
