Introduction
This is a simple yet effective portable measurement system for measuring water levels in boreholes up to 200 meters deep. The probe is lowered into the borehole by unspooling the cable reel until the signal on the reel is activated. The depth can then be read directly from the cable, which features length markings at 10 cm intervals. The system requires no external power supply and is powered by an internal battery.
