Introduction

SRF (Safe RFID) is a non-contact safety sensor for monitoring movable safety guards such as doors, gates, panels, and covers. When a safety guard is not properly closed, this compact sensor protects operators from injury by shutting down or preventing machine startup. The sensor and actuator feature a compact housing design with diagnostic LEDs and an IP69 protection rating. The actuator part number applies to all coding types and can be programmed without additional equipment; actuators are sold separately. The sensors are designed for use in series, utilizing an M12 connection system for plug-and-play installation convenience, saving time and reducing wiring errors and labor costs. The "main line" uses 4-wire unshielded cable for further cost savings. The SRF achieves safety levels up to PLe, Cat.4 / SIL CL 3, even when multiple switches are connected in series, through redundant OSSD outputs.
