Introduction

The SPL16 - 005 is a miniaturized digital barometric pressure sensor featuring high accuracy and low current consumption. It functions as both a pressure sensor and a temperature sensor. The pressure sensing element is based on capacitive sensing principles, ensuring high accuracy under varying temperature conditions. Its compact package makes it well-suited for mobile applications and wearable devices. An integrated signal processor converts the outputs of the pressure and temperature sensing elements into 24-bit results. Each pressure sensor is individually calibrated and includes calibration coefficients for converting measurements into true pressure and temperature values. In addition, it features a FIFO capable of storing the latest 32 measurements, helping to reduce overall system power consumption.
