Introduction

The SDX series sensors provide a highly cost-effective solution for pressure applications requiring small size and high performance. These calibrated and temperature-compensated sensors deliver accurate and stable output over a temperature range of 0°C to 50°C. The series is suitable for non-corrosive, non-ionic working fluids such as air and dry gases. The devices can measure absolute and gauge pressure from 1 psi to 100 psi. Absolute pressure devices have an internal vacuum reference, with output voltage proportional to absolute pressure. Bridge output is ratiometric to the supply voltage and accepts any DC supply voltage up to +20 V. SDX devices incorporate IC sensor elements and laser-trimmed thick-film ceramics, housed in a compact solvent-resistant package in a dual-wide (i.e., 0.600-inch pin spacing) DIP configuration — only 0.470 inches long with a pressure port. Each DIP occupies approximately 0.26 square inches of PCB area. This extremely compact size allows multiple sensors to be used in confined spaces. The DIP offers excellent corrosion resistance and isolation from external package stress, and mounts on PCBs via through-hole pins like a standard IC, providing greater mechanical stability than other package types.
