Introduction

The 85 Compensated is a small, media-compatible, piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor housed in a 316L stainless steel package. The 85 Compensated is offered in a weldable package or with a variety of threaded process connections including 1/4 and 1/8 NPT, 1/4 BSP, and custom process fittings. The 85 Compensated is designed for OEM applications requiring compatibility with corrosive media. The sensing package uses silicone oil to transfer pressure from a 316L stainless steel diaphragm to the sensing element. A ceramic substrate is attached to the package and contains laser-trimmed resistors for temperature compensation and offset correction. An additional laser-trimmed resistor is included for adjusting an external differential amplifier and provides span interchangeability to within ±1%.
