Introduction

The MS5803-01BA07 is a new generation pressure sensor from Measurement Specialties, designed for harsh environments with a resolution of 12μbar. The sensor module includes a high-linearity pressure sensor and an ultra-low power 24-bit ΔΣ ADC with factory-calibrated coefficients built in. It delivers precise digital pressure and temperature values with multiple operating modes, allowing users to optimize conversion speed and current consumption. The high-resolution temperature output enables combined pressure/temperature functionality without additional sensors. The sensor interfaces with any microcontroller via standard I²C and SPI protocols. Special gel protection and an anti-magnetic stainless steel cap enable operation in harsh environments. This new generation sensor module is based on leading MEMS technology, benefiting from MEAS's extensive experience and expertise in high-volume pressure sensor manufacturing accumulated over more than a decade. Its sensing principle ensures very low hysteresis and high stability for both pressure and temperature signals.
