Introduction

The SCX Series sensors provide a cost-effective solution for pressure applications requiring operation over a wide temperature range. These internally calibrated and temperature-compensated sensors are designed to deliver accurate, stable output over a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C. The series is suitable for non-corrosive, non-ionic working fluids such as air and dry gases. Devices in this series measure absolute, differential, and gauge pressures from 1 psi to 150 psi. Absolute pressure devices feature an internal vacuum reference with output voltage proportional to pressure. Differential pressure devices allow pressure to be applied to either side of the sensing diaphragm, enabling gauge or differential pressure measurement. SCX Series devices incorporate an IC sensor element and laser-trimmed thick-film ceramic, packaged in a compact solvent-resistant housing. The package provides excellent corrosion resistance and isolates external package stress. It features convenient mounting holes and pressure ports for easy pressure connection using standard plastic tubing. If an application requires operation beyond the 0°C to 70°C temperature range, two pins providing output voltages proportional to temperature are available for use with external circuitry. A 100-microsecond response time makes this series ideal for computer peripheral and pneumatic control applications. Bridge output is ratiometric to supply voltage. Compatible with any DC supply voltage up to 20 Vdc.
