Introduction

The SCX Series microsensor pressure sensors provide a highly cost-effective solution for pressure applications requiring operation over a wide temperature range. These internally calibrated and temperature-compensated sensors are specifically designed to provide accurate, stable output over a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C [32°F to 158°F]. The series is suitable for non-corrosive, non-ionic working fluids such as air and dry gases. The series can measure absolute, differential, and gauge pressures ranging from 1 psi (SCX01) to 150 psi (SCX150). Absolute pressure (models containing A) devices have an internal vacuum reference, with output voltage proportional to absolute pressure. Differential pressure (models containing D) devices allow pressure to be applied to either side of the pressure-sensing diaphragm and can be used for gauge or differential pressure measurements. SCX Series devices incorporate IC sensor elements and laser-trimmed thick-film ceramics, housed in a compact, solvent-resistant package. The package offers excellent corrosion resistance and isolates external package stress. The package features convenient mounting holes and pressure ports for easy pressure connections using standard plastic tubing. If the application requires operation over an extended temperature range beyond 0°C to 70°C [32°F to 158°F], two pins are available to provide an output voltage proportional to temperature for use by external circuitry. The 100-microsecond response time makes the series ideal for computer peripheral and pneumatic control applications. Bridge output is ratiometric to supply voltage and accepts any DC supply voltage up to 20 Vdc.
