Introduction

The Standard Accuracy Silicon Ceramic Series is a piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor that provides a digital output for reading pressure within a specified full-scale pressure range and temperature range. The series achieves full calibration and temperature compensation through an onboard ASIC, covering sensor offset, sensitivity, temperature effects, and non-linearity. The calibrated pressure output is updated at a rate of approximately 2 kHz. The calibrated temperature range is -20°C to 85°C. The sensor operates from a single 3.3 Vdc or 5.0 Vdc supply. These sensors measure absolute, differential, and gauge pressure. The absolute pressure version features an internal vacuum reference, with the output proportional to pressure. The differential pressure version allows pressure to be applied to either side of the sensing diaphragm. The gauge pressure version uses atmospheric pressure as the reference, providing an output proportional to changes in atmospheric pressure. These pressure sensors are designed for use with non-corrosive, non-ionic gases such as air and other dry gases. Optional configurations extend their capability to non-corrosive, non-ionic liquids.
