Introduction

The SDX series sensors provide a cost-effective solution for pressure applications requiring small size and good performance. These calibrated and temperature-compensated sensors deliver accurate and stable output over a temperature range of 0°C to 50°C. The series is suitable for non-corrosive, non-ionic working fluids such as air, dry gases, etc. Devices are available for measuring gauge and absolute pressure from 1 psi to 100 psi. Absolute pressure devices feature an internal vacuum reference, with output voltage proportional to pressure. The bridge output is ratiometric to the supply voltage and operates at any DC supply voltage up to +20V. SDX devices incorporate an IC sensing element and laser-trimmed thick-film ceramic, housed in a compact solvent-resistant package. The package is a dual-wide DIP with 0.600-inch pin spacing, measuring only 0.470 inches in length with a pressure port. Each DIP occupies approximately 0.26 square inches of board area. This extremely compact size enables the use of multiple sensors in limited space. The package offers excellent corrosion resistance and isolation from external stress. The DIP mounts on the board via through-hole pins like a standard IC, with the pins securing the pressure sensor to the board, providing a more reliable and stable unit compared to other package types.
