Introduction

The 24PC Series miniature pressure sensors are compact and cost-effective, suitable for dry and wet media. These sensors employ proven sensing technology using specialized piezoresistive micromachined sensing elements, delivering high performance, reliability, and accuracy. Each sensor contains four active piezoresistors forming a Wheatstone bridge. When pressure is applied, the resistance changes and the sensor outputs a millivolt signal proportional to the applied pressure. The low-power 24PC sensors accommodate pressures from 0.5 psi to 250 psi and operate over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C [-40°F to 185°F]. The sensors can be driven by either a constant current or constant voltage source. With constant current excitation, the terminal voltage of the pressure sensor increases with rising temperature; this voltage increase not only provides temperature compensation for the full-scale span but also serves as an indicator of sensor temperature. These sensors are compatible with a variety of dry and wet media that are compatible with polyphthalamide (PPA) plastic and the media seals specified in the Ordering Guide, are RoHS compliant, and are designed and manufactured to ISO 9001 standards.
