Introduction

The VN series, based on Superior's NimbleSense architecture, is a comprehensive pressure sensor solution for ventilators and high-flow oxygen equipment. The series includes sensors for measuring inlet (wall and cylinder), flow, inspiratory, expiratory, and atmospheric pressure. The VN series employs Multi-Range technology to deliver the widest dynamic range in the industry, requiring no trimming or additional calibration.

The VN series combines advanced piezoresistive sensing elements with integrated amplifiers, ADC, DSP, and digital interfaces. Advanced digital processing enables new capabilities that simplify system development, ease manufacturing, and improve reliability.

With optional advanced digital filter customization and a three-mode pressure switch, the VN series is more than a pressure sensor — it is a pressure sensing subsystem.

Furthermore, VN series sensors oversample at 12kHz and incorporate internal bandwidth filters, delivering a clean update rate greater than 1kHz, eliminating the need for ventilators to oversample the sensor output.

The VN series features a high-reliability plastic housing that ensures high performance and reliability while offering customers a high-volume, cost-effective solution for ventilators and high-flow oxygen equipment.
