Introduction

The 85 Compensated is a small, media-compatible piezoresistive silicon pressure sensor housed in a 316L stainless steel package. It is available in solderable package or a variety of threaded process connections, including 1/4 and 1/8 NPT, 1/4 BSP, and custom process fittings. The sensor is designed for OEM applications requiring compatibility with corrosive media; the sensing assembly uses silicone oil to transfer pressure from a 316L stainless steel diaphragm to the sensing element. A ceramic substrate mounted to the package contains laser-trimmed resistors for temperature compensation and offset correction. An additional laser-trimmed resistor is also included, which can be used to trim an external differential amplifier and achieve span interchangeability to within ±1%.
