Introduction

This soil moisture, temperature, and electrical conductivity sensor (MODBUS-RTU RS485, Model S-Soil MTEC-02A) is designed to industry standards with high accuracy, high sensitivity, and durability. The sensor integrates three sensing elements — a soil moisture sensor, a soil temperature sensor, and a soil electrical conductivity sensor — and features automatic temperature compensation to ensure measurement accuracy regardless of environmental changes. By measuring the dielectric constant of soil, it can reliably measure soil volumetric water content (VWC) independent of soil type. Its measurements comply with current international soil moisture measurement standards.

The stainless steel probe can be permanently inserted into soil for rapid testing, making it suitable for long-term deployment. This soil sensor achieves an IP68 protection rating, offering exceptional ruggedness and durability. It is well-suited for long-term monitoring of soil moisture, temperature, and electrical conductivity in scientific experimentation, water-saving irrigation, horticulture, greenhouses, outdoor cultivation, agronomy, golf course turf management, forestry, precision agriculture, and other professional environmental monitoring applications.
