Introduction

RLE's rodent-resistant sensing cable (SC-R) is designed for reliable leak detection while protecting against rodent chewing and cable damage. The sensing cable incorporates chemical additives and specific colorants whose odor and taste deter rodents from chewing or contacting the cable. Contact with conductive liquid at any point along the cable triggers an alarm. The sensing wires are covered with a non-conductive polymer mesh, preventing false alarms from dust, dirt, or metal contact. The four-wire construction enables continuous system monitoring of the cable, identifying damaged or disconnected cables.
