Introduction

The ACI duct-mounted relative humidity sensor series with thermistor utilizes a thermoset polymer capacitive sensing element and features a factory-installed hydrophobic filter to enhance moisture protection. The multi-layer construction of the sensing element also provides excellent resistance in applications where dust, dirt, grease, and common environmental chemicals are present. The duct-mounted relative humidity sensor includes an onboard DIP switch that allows users to select the desired output signal and can be powered by either AC or DC power supplies. Each unit also includes 0%, 50%, and 100% test options for verifying proper transmitter operation and correct wiring. Field calibration can be performed using increment and decrement calibration DIP switches without replacing the sensing element. These enhancements improve flexibility and deliver outstanding long-term reliability, eliminating the need for field sensor replacement. The duct configuration features a weatherproof European-style enclosure with a sealed cover and a conformal-coated circuit board for improved moisture resistance in high-humidity environments. The sensor is protected by a stainless steel sintered filter. A three-point NIST calibration certificate is available.
