Introduction

The ACI Thermistor Duct Series features stainless steel probes with two 22 AWG etched Teflon color-coded leads for distinguishing different sensor types. This sensor series is manufactured using ACI's proven dual-encapsulation process, which eliminates moisture effects on the sensor and improves response time through high-quality thermally conductive epoxy. Duct sensors are designed for smaller duct applications and include an insulating gasket for duct sealing and vibration reduction. Sensor length should be selected based on the duct width or diameter so that the probe tip reaches approximately the center of the duct. Standard enclosure options include a galvanized enclosure "-GD" or a plastic duct enclosure with hinged cover "-PB". For larger ducts, rigid or flexible copper averaging sensors are available for increased sensing points and improved temperature control. This series offers optional NEMA/IP-rated weatherproof enclosures and NIST certificates available for order; refer to the back of the product data sheet for details.
