Introduction

The ACI Outdoor Air Relative Humidity series with Balco RTD utilizes a thermoset polymer capacitive sensing element with a factory-installed hygroscopic filter, providing proportional analog current or voltage output signals. The hygroscopic filter enhances resistance to moisture, dust, and other chemical contaminants, improving long-term reliability. The outdoor air relative humidity transmitter features built-in DIP switches for field-selectable output signal and supply voltage to meet application requirements. Each unit also provides 0%, 50%, and 100% test options for verifying proper transmitter operation and correct wiring. Field calibration is available via increment and decrement calibration DIP switches without replacing the sensing element. These enhancements deliver greater flexibility and excellent long-term reliability. The outdoor air configuration features a weatherproof European-style enclosure with a sealed cover and a conformal-coated PCB for improved resistance to moisture and chemical corrosion. A three-point NIST calibration certificate is available.
