Introduction

The ACI outdoor air relative humidity series with thermistor utilizes a thermosetting polymer capacitive sensing element with a factory-installed hygroscopic filter, providing proportional analog current or voltage output signals. The hygroscopic filter enhances resistance to moisture, dust, and other chemical contaminants, improving long-term reliability. The outdoor air relative humidity transmitter features a built-in DIP switch for field selection of the appropriate output signal and supply voltage to meet application requirements. Each unit also includes 0%, 50%, and 100% test options to verify proper transmitter operation and correct wiring. Field calibration can be performed without replacing the sensing element by using the increment and decrement calibration DIP switches. These enhancements improve flexibility and long-term reliability. The outdoor air configuration employs a weatherproof Euro-style enclosure with a sealed cover and a conformal-coated circuit board for enhanced protection against moisture and chemical corrosion. A three-point NIST calibration certificate is available.
