Introduction

The low-cost soil moisture and temperature sensor MSE is a smart sensor featuring capacitive high-frequency dielectric constant measurement and non-contact sensing, designed for soil moisture content and temperature detection. The sensor integrates a high-precision digital capacitive sensing chip, microprocessor, and algorithms. Moisture content % is proportional to the capacitance value, which can be fitted and converted based on different soil characteristics. Based on the UART MODBUS communication protocol, the sensor firmware and algorithms can be upgraded online.
