Introduction

The FSS-SMT Series force sensors are designed to be among the most reliable force sensors available, with an average cycle life of 20 million cycles before failure at 25°C. This low-profile SMT sensor supports automated assembly on PCBs, typically helping customers reduce assembly costs. The series is designed to deliver accurate and reliable force sensing performance in a compact, commercial-grade package. The sensors incorporate Honeywell sensing technology, which utilizes a specialized piezoresistive micromachined silicon sensing element. Its low-power, unamplified, uncompensated Wheatstone bridge circuit design provides an inherently stable millivolt output across the entire force measurement range.
