Introduction

The S287 is an active device designed to signal an alarm when liquid falls below or rises above a preset level. A time delay can be set to eliminate false alarms caused by liquid turbulence, and its flying leads enable customers to select the appropriate connector. The switch contains a factory-programmable microprocessor, providing a current sinking or voltage sourcing output. The switch is designed for use in grounded metal and isolated plastic tanks. For maximum accuracy, the S287 should ideally be mounted horizontally at the point where an alarm or control signal is required.
