Introduction

The S285 capacitive coolant level switch is an active device designed to signal an alarm when liquid falls below or rises above a preset level. A time delay can be configured to eliminate false alarms caused by turbulence. The switch incorporates a factory-programmable microprocessor and provides either a current-sinking or voltage-sourcing output. It is designed for use with grounded metal and isolated plastic containers. For maximum accuracy, the S285 should ideally be mounted horizontally at the point where an alarm or control signal is required.
