Introduction

The LS Series horizontal liquid level sensors provide high or low level switching with NO/NC SPST or SPDT output, mounted on the side wall of a water tank. Featuring UL component-listed certified reed switches with a choice of non-reactive wetted materials, the sensors are available in many different configurations. The sensor uses a float with an embedded magnet to activate a reed switch located in the sensor body; as the liquid level rises, the float approaches the reed switch and actuates it, providing NO or NC contact switching indication. The sensor is mounted on the side wall of a liquid storage tank via a 1/2 NPT or M16 x 2.0 threaded fitting, with a simple NO or NC SPST or SPDT dry reed switch output using ruthenium contacts for reliability. The NO output can be converted to NC in the field. Electrical output is a pair of PVC-insulated wires in selectable lengths of 0.5m or 2.0m.
