Introduction

The OLS5 series is a liquid level sensor designed for single-point liquid level detection. The sensor incorporates an infrared emitter and detector arranged within a precision-molded cone, enabling effective optical coupling when the sensor is in air. When the sensor is immersed in liquid, this coupling is significantly reduced as the infrared light escapes through the liquid rather than being reflected back to the detector. The sensor features a transistor output configurable by the user for specific applications. The output is implemented via a TTL-compatible push-pull output.
