Introduction

CZ-3AG7 is an open-loop current sensor using a Hall sensor that outputs an analog voltage proportional to AC/DC current. The sensor employs III-V compound semiconductor thin film as the Hall sensing element, enabling high-accuracy, high-speed current sensing. The coreless, ultra-compact SMT package saves board space. In addition, the low primary conductor resistance suppresses heat generation, allowing continuous current of 50A (RMS). Conventional coreless current sensors suffer from accuracy degradation due to stray magnetic field interference; the CZ-3AGx series features a built-in stray magnetic field rejection function to suppress this effect. The series also provides dual overcurrent detection. The CZ-3AGx series complies with UL 61800-5-1 safety standards, making it well suited for industrial AC drives, servo motors, and similar applications. It is also ideal for feeding sensor signals into 3V ADCs. The CZ-3AGx series offers multiple linear sensing ranges, from ±11.6A (CZ-3AG1) to ±116.6A (CZ-3AG7), allowing designers to use the same PCB layout across products with different current ratings.
