Introduction

The JSM6920S0 is a high-performance Hall-effect current sensor capable of effectively measuring both AC and DC currents, with broad applications in industrial, consumer, and communications equipment.

The JSM6920S0 series integrates a high-precision, low-noise linear Hall circuit and a low-impedance primary current conductor. When the sensed current flows through the primary current path, the resulting magnetic field induces a corresponding electrical signal in the Hall circuit. After processing through the signal conditioning circuitry, a voltage output is produced that is strictly proportional to the measured current.

The linear Hall circuit is manufactured using an advanced BCDMOS process, incorporating a high-sensitivity Hall sensor, Hall signal preamplifier, high-precision Hall temperature compensation unit, oscillator, dynamic offset cancellation circuit, and amplifier output stage. In the absence of a magnetic field, the quiescent output of the current sensor is a fixed 2.5V or 50% Vcc. With a supply voltage of 5V, the sensor output varies linearly with the magnetic field over a range of 0.2~4.8V, achieving a linearity of 0.4%.

The integrated dynamic offset cancellation circuit in the JSM6920S0 ensures that sensor sensitivity is unaffected by external mechanical stress or IC package stress. The JSM6920S0 is available in an SOP8 package, operates over a temperature range of -40~150°C, and is RoHS compliant.
