CC6927 is a high-performance Hall-effect current sensor capable of effectively measuring DC or AC current, with the advantages of high accuracy, good linearity, and excellent temperature stability. It is widely used in industrial, consumer, and communications equipment.
The CC6927 consists of a high-precision, low-noise linear Hall IC and a low-impedance primary current conductor. The ultra-low 0.3mΩ conductor resistance minimizes power loss and heat dissipation. The inherent internal isolation provides 100V_RMS isolation voltage between the primary and secondary circuits. The sensor employs linear Hall sensor temperature compensation technology for superior temperature stability.
The CC6927's integrated differential common-mode rejection circuit prevents the output from being affected by external interference magnetic signals. The integrated dynamic offset cancellation circuit ensures that the sensitivity is unaffected by external mechanical stress and package stress.
The CC6927 is available in a DFN (6.4×6.4) package, operates over a temperature range of -40 to +125°C, and complies with RoHS requirements.
The CC6927 is a precision Hall-sensor-based current sensor featuring 100V_RMS isolation voltage, less than 3% full-scale error output over the full temperature range, and bidirectional current sensing capability. The internal primary conductor resistance is 0.3mΩ at room temperature, minimizing insertion loss. The magnetic field generated by the input current is sensed by the Hall sensor and amplified by a precision signal chain. Suitable for both AC and DC current measurement with a bandwidth of 250kHz. Three current measurement ranges are available: 50A, 100A, and 150A, operable from a single supply within the recommended range. The CC6927 is optimized for high accuracy and temperature stability, with offset and sensitivity compensated across the full range.
The CC6927 input current flows through the primary side of the package via the IP+ and IP- pins. The current flowing through the device generates a magnetic field proportional to the input current, which is measured by an isolated precision Hall sensor IC. Compared to other current measurement methods, the low-impedance leadframe path reduces power consumption and requires no external components on the primary side. In addition, the integrated differential common-mode rejection circuit shields the output from external interference magnetic signals, measuring only the magnetic field generated by the input current and thereby suppressing external magnetic field interference.
The typical resistance of the primary current conductor at 25°C is 0.3mΩ. The leadframe is made of copper, and the temperature coefficient of the input conductor is positive — conductor resistance increases with temperature. The typical temperature coefficient is 3900ppm/°C; for every 100°C rise in temperature, the primary resistance increases by 39%.
