Introduction

The SIM800 module supports quad-band GSM/GPRS, operating on GSM850, EGSM900, DCS1800, and PCS1900 MHz bands. With dimensions of only 24×24×3 mm, it meets the space requirements of virtually all user applications. The module interfaces with user hardware through a 68-pad connector, providing access to all hardware interfaces. It supports up to 50 keys; one full-featured serial port that can be configured as two independent serial ports as needed; one USB interface that can emulate a serial port for debugging and software download; an audio interface including one microphone input and one receiver output; programmable GPIO; one SIM card interface; Bluetooth support; PWM function pins; and a PCM interface/SD card interface (mutually exclusive, PCM interface by default). The SIM800 employs power-saving technology, with current consumption as low as 1.0 mA in sleep mode.
