Introduction

FST50_04EL is a highly integrated, high-performance, low-cost WiFi module that integrates an RF transceiver, 802.11 PHY+MAC, ARM Cortex-M4F, API interface, real-time counter (RTC), and complete power management circuitry. The chip also provides a complete software solution including RTOS/TCPIP/SSL/MQTT/WIFI/AT, and more. Customers simply need to develop their applications and bring them to market. This makes it an ideal small form factor solution for IoT applications such as smart lighting, security, remote control, home appliances, and more — enabling endless possibilities for embedding WiFi functionality into other systems with minimal external components. The chip itself features complete 802.11b/g/n-based WLAN networking capabilities. It can operate as a slave application via the SDIO interface, or as a standalone IoT application supporting Supplicant/HostAP/Sniffer modes.
