Introduction

CBU-IPEX is a low-power embedded Wi-Fi module. It consists of a highly integrated wireless RF chip BK7231N and a small number of peripheral components, supporting both AP and STA dual-role connections as well as Bluetooth connectivity.

The CBU-IPEX features a built-in 32-bit MCU running at up to 120 MHz, with 2 Mbyte of flash memory and 256 KB RAM. This enables the module to support IoT cloud connectivity, and the MCU's signal-processing extended instructions allow it to efficiently implement audio encoding and decoding. It offers a rich set of peripherals, including PWM, UART, and SPI. Up to six 32-bit PWM outputs make the chip well-suited for high-quality LED control.
